WHAT IS SHINGLES?

Shingles is a painful rash caused by reactivation of the same virus that causes chickenpox. One out of 3 people will get shingles in their lifetime.

Does my risk of shingles increase as I get older?

SHINGRIX is indicated for prevention of herpes zoster (HZ, or shingles) in adults 50 years of age or older and adults 18 years of age or older at increased risk of HZ.

Shingrix 是重組蛋白疫苗，與舊款（減活疫苗）相比，其保護率大幅提升至 90% 以上，保護力更持久。Shingrix 亦適用於免疫力較弱的人士，安全性更高。

Q3：接種Shingri疫苗後會有什麼副作用？

Details

Shingrix疫苗的副作用通常是輕微及暫時性的。常見的副作用包括注射部位疼痛、紅腫，或出現疲倦、肌肉痛、頭痛等類似感冒的徵狀。這些反應通常約 2 至 3 天內會自然消退。

Q4：如何安排接種兩針疫苗的時間？

完整的療程需要接種 2 針。根據藥廠指引，第二針應在第一針後的 2 至 6 個月內接種，以確保獲得最佳的免疫保護。

Q5：接種疫苗當天有什麼需要準備？

Details

接種當天建議穿著寬鬆、方便露出上臂的衣物。如正在發燒或患有急性疾病，建議待身體康復後才進行接種。如有任何長期病患或服藥紀錄，請在接種前告知醫護人員。
